HALFWAY TO THE PLACE BEHIND THE STARS - OUT NOW

The new album isn’t done, but half of it is finished (5 songs) and is out now on streaming platforms. This includes the three songs we put on YouTube last year and it clocks in at roughly 35 minutes of music. The remainder of the album, the full/whole album will be properly released in the first half of September. Many of you are probably wondering why the release of this album keeps getting delayed, why it seems impossible for me to finish (and I do take ALL responsibility for it still not being done, as the rest of the boys’ parts have been recorded for quite some time now). The truth is, it’s a complicated stew of personal and private circumstances, precisely the things I’ve never felt comfortable discussing in a public forum, much less on the internet. There have been events in my life that have prevented me from writing pages and pages of lyrics that are honest and songs that I would feel comfortable performing for years, long after the issues that have complicated and made my life difficult have passed. I know it’s not a very satisfying answer, I know it’s cryptic, but I am just asking for a little more time and patience to get what I feel I have to get done, done. It’s almost there, it’s just been a far more painful process this time around, brought on by painful times. I know I don’t poke my head up out of hiding often, but I really do appreciate how patient and kind you’ve all been with my missing my self imposed deadlines and pushing back a record I promised would be out a while ago by now.
